BEIS appointed Fiorentini and MeteRSit to develop hydrogen smart meters

The H2-SSM smart meter by Pietro Fiorentini incorporates the ultrasonic measurement technology to measure both natural gases and 100% hydrogen, switching between gases without any additional intervention
The Domusnext® 2.0 MMU6 H2 meter model, produced by MeteRSit, has been certified by the notified body NMi Certin B.V. which is valid in Europe and the UK, as well as other, non-EU countries, and guarantees the accuracy and reliability of the measuring instrument (the meter)
REMOTE MILESTONE REVIEW GUIDANCE NOTE
We’ve published the remote milestone review guidance that we’ve issued to manufacturers appointed to deliver appliances, components and meters. Remote review provides the option to verify milestone delivery without requiring physical site visits.
5 December 2019, Project Scope Clarification issued
A project scope clarification note regarding hydrogen smart meter capabilities has been issued to the two WP10 developers.
17 August 2019, Two companies appointed to develop meters
Fiorentini and Metersit are the successful organisations, appointed by BEIS, to develop hydrogen smart meters for the Hy4Heat programme. The meters will be demonstrated as part of work package 8 of the programme, alongside domestic hydrogen appliances.
